This year’s WordUP Program, Pen to Power!, empowers students as successful readers, writers, listeners, & community actors. We focus on the role of persuasive speaking, self-reflection, and the media (especially journalism) in movements for social & personal change. We are poets, autobiographers, family historians, opinion columnists, letter writers, and journalists. And we speak truth to power!
